The Resurrection School Foundation establishes a separate, not-for-profit legal entity (501(c)(3)). This status allows contributions to be tax deductible.
The goal of the Foundation is to support Resurrection School's mission to educate each child by promoting spiritual and moral development, intellectual and cultural growth, social responsibility and physical fitness.
The Resurrection School Foundation will raise money to enhance Resurrection's educational environment, meet infrastructure requirements while providing tuition assistance to those in need and minimizing future tuition increases for everyone. The Foundation will establish an Annual Fund campaign to raise money in support of these efforts. This will allow us to leverage corporate matching gifts and gifts from individuals and institutions outside Resurrection School.
No. While the PTO and the Fathers' Club will reside under the umbrella of the Resurrection Foundation, their primary missions do not change. In fact, heads of both the PTO and the Fathers' Club will always sit on the Foundation's Board of Directors. The PTO and Fathers' Club remain vital to our overall fund raising efforts and supporting a strong sense of community. Your continued commitment to volunteering, donating items, attending events and making financial contributions to the PTO and Fathers' Club is greatly appreciated!
The Annual Fund is a yearly fund raising program designed to help bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of our children's education. Contributions to the Annual Fund directly support tuition assistance, enrichment programs for students and teachers, and infrastructure requirements. Resurrection School will rely on Annual Fund revenues plus the on-going support of Resurrection parish to balance our annual budget.
Tuition covers about 84 percent of the actual annual cost to educate a student. The difference between what is paid by all students each year and the actual cost to educate them must be made up by other resources. Resurrection parish will continue to provide funds annually to close a portion of the gap. PTO and Fathers' Club fund raising events and gifts to the Annual Fund from parents, alumni and friends are required to close the remainder of the gap.
You can make a pledge to the Annual Fund by completing a pledge form. Gifts may be made by cash, check, credit card or stock. If you are employed by a company with a matching gifts program, you may be able to double or triple the amount of your gift.
Unrestricted gifts provide the most critical dollars for the School because they allow maximum flexibility to apply funds where they are needed most. Support for the Annual Fund also improves Resurrection's ability to receive contributions from foundations and corporations, as well as inspiring giving from other Resurrection families. By participating, each family expresses confidence in the School's current mission and helps ensure future prosperity.
In addition to the current parents of Resurrection School students, the Annual Fund will work to receive support from alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty and staff, parishioners, foundations, and corporate matching gift programs.
Annual Fund pledges can be made any time. Gifts made by December 31 may be claimed as a current year tax deduction.
Gifts of every size make a difference and demonstrate your understanding and commitment to the needs of Resurrection School. We ask that you participate as generously as possible. We hope that all members of the Resurrection community will make the Annual Fund a top priority.
The Resurrection Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization under the Federal IRS code. Unlike tuition, all contributions to the Annual Fund are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. All donors will receive a letter noting their gift amount, date of gift, and the disclosure that no goods or services were provided in exchange for the gift.
We welcome your support and participation to promote the Foundation's success. If interested, please contact Dennis Deutmeyer.
